“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself…”
I have a framed picture with those insightful words, and although I don't know who wrote them, I try to live by them through my camera. I am 38, married, a Hoosier, and hopelessly addicted to photography. I first became interested in photography back in 2000 while completing a degree in Visual Communications. The photography classes were mandatory, but in the end, you practically had to drag me out of the darkroom! I eventually lost some steam with film but found my passion re-ignited with digital. I currently own a Canon 40D and Canon lenses, although I wouldn't mind trying out the Nikon line. Where's that winning lottery ticket when you need it?!
My main photographic interests include still life, nature and macro, and anything Lensbaby. I rarely photograph people (no children and not enough volunteers) or awe inspiring vistas (unless on a rare vacation). Instead, I concentrate on found objects, flowers, and anything in between. I love exploring rural areas, abandoned buildings, cemeteries, and country roads.
Thanks so much to Shutterbugs for this opportunity and to my fellow photographers for the lovely comments, support, and encouragement!
